Hello, for the project that we are working on (pharma industry), this function is needed.
I see there is an option for it in the User Profile setting.
Only one session per user - If ticked, a user having this profile will be limited to one WebVue session at a time. One will not be able to login in more than one web browser instances on a given client device or from several devices at the same time.
PcVue version is 16.0.2. We tried with several users and machines, but this option doesn't seem to work. The same user can log in in multiple instances (in the same device or a different device) and make all usual operations - browse mimic, send commands, etc.
Is there any other specific configuration that needs to be done at the same time for it to work?
I tried the following to try, but all results are not good :
1. Set the option, restart PcVue, and tried.
2. Redeployed WebVue from WDC
3. Cleared cache on all browsers and tested again
4. Manually removed all tokens and grants from WDC, cleared all browser cache, restarted PcVue, and tried.
If anybody has an idea, please feel free to share.
I have also created an SPR in case this is an actual bug.
Thanks,
Kantha
Hello Kantha,
I have tried this option with 15.2.6 and it is working properly, even though the message is not accurate enough.
I don't think it is depending on PcVue standard user management or Active Directory.
Creating a SPR was a good thing. It seems to be a regression in 16.0.x
