The connection to an OPC XMLDA server is ok (very machine specific opc server)
However when I try to create a variable with a link to an item of the server, the items are not browsed. If I enter manually the item name, then when I validate the variable, I lose the display of the config, and the server disconnects...
I tried with an other OPC XMLDA server (from Advosol editor) and I observed the same problem exept that when I validate the variable, the display disappears but the conection remains ok and the variable gets the value correctly.
So I think there's a bug for the OPC configuration display and that I have another problem with my specific OPC server.
Do you have any experiences using OPC XMLDA server connection with PcVue?
For instance, do you know how we can trace problems(all traces are undefined...)

Hi! If I remember correctly there should be some traces for connection / disconnection (on server level) and traces for Read and Write on Group level.
What type of Server do you use? I have done some qualification for OPC XML DA to make sure it is working with Windows 8 and all worked fine.

I agree with Daniel. There are several traces available on server level and on group level:
Server
Group
However, if I remember right there was an issue with OPC XML in 10.0sp1 which was fixed in one of the Update versions...
