Hi everyone,
we see an issue with Pcvue 11.0.5000.5093.
It is not possible to browse OPC server, we only see an information Message box.
With another OPC client (Matrikon explorer) it works.
Have a good day
Hello,
Could you please describe the problem a little bit more...
it a light description.
Thanks
Hi Brice,
Pcvue could not "browse" any OPC server in V11, it works only if you manually type the OPC server name.
This is a screenshot of the HMIDemo project to reproduce the bug.
Have a nice day in Paris

Thank you for the screenshot, it's very useful to understand where is the problem.
Note that browse can have 2 meanings with OPC:
- provide the list of the installed OPC servers
- provide the list of the configured items of an OPC server
We'll do som tests to check that. Could you give us more détails about your system (OS, 32/64bits, virtual machine or not, ...)
We try with a new project => same issue
We made our tests with Windows 7 and 2008 R2 (64 bits).
We try with Win7 on a physical machine, and W2008R2 in a VM.
We test with OPC servers : Alert, Pcvue, and Adam OPC modus
We don't use specific configuration or any anthentification.
Brice your OS is 32 or 64 bits ?
64 bits could be the issue
Sorry, I use W7 x64.
Hello Everyone,
The Win 7 64 bits was on my machine.
I have PcVue 9, 10 and 11 installed on my machine.
When I tried on a new project in PcVue 10, I can browse all OPC servers installed on my machine.
With PcVue 11, with a new project, we have this popup message and it's not possible to browse OPC Servers.
A customer have the same issue. He says to me, if you insert the OPC name in the ProgID server field, it works. The main issue is to browse OPC server from the ProgID Server Combobox.
I think there's an issue with PcVue 11 (3 differents machines). Maybe, it's because we have differents versions of PcVue on the same Machine?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Manu
I think there have been two SPR created for this issue: #59237 and #59286. Both should have been fixed in 11.0.06000 (Feb. 13th) already.
